K so I'm saddened. I went stand up paddling yesterday morning and when I returned to my truck it was broken into and my guitars and computer stolen from my backseat. First of all, DON'T LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR CAR EVERRRR... but for the record I had just arrived from Maui the night before, stayed at a friend's house and was on my way home when I wanted to wake up early and hit the south swell in Waikiki. Doors locked, stuff semi-hidden, but dang... not good enough. Its not Maui, its the city. And my stuff was stolen. Worst part was that one of the two guitars belonged to my Aunty Nalani and was her prized Taylor vintage style beautiful guitar that she was so kind as to let me borrow for my big performance in LA on Wednesday at The Mint. I had been practicing with it, and had it in my back seat. The other guitar was custom for me by Pono and was a big Koa guitar. Both in hard black cases. My laptop was in a couple of bags underneath my seat. The laptop is covered in a collage on the top, and is a MacBook silver one. It had a sticker with my signature (Anuhea, like on my album cover) right on the keyboard near the mouse area... so if you see one on craigslist or something that looks like it had stickers/collages removed from it, let me know!

The vintage Taylor that belonged to my Aunty Nalani of Na Leo..

The Pono Guitar made of Koa that was made for me.. only played it a few times... :(
My label is offering a $500 reward to get the stuff back. You can hit me up on myspace, facebook, twitter, etc, contact a Pawn Shop on Oahu (they all expecting to receive the items in the next few days in one way or another) or you can call my manager Warren

Thank you so much for being honest and returning it. The things on the computer are irreplaceable... all my pictures, videos and promotional materials. Please do the right thing and return. The guitars were very recognizable, so don't take risks of getting caught the hard way. The police dusted for prints and are processing them right now. If they have a record, or do get one in the next few years, they will be caught. Please return them, take the $500 bucks and enjoy it. I'll be so happy to return my aunty's guitar to her. I feel so bad about that.
KITV4, KGMB9, KCCN Fm100, Island 98.5fm and the Honolulu Advertiser have all made mentions or done some sort of news story on the incident... a little embarassing, but I have to do all I can to retrieve these items.
We leave for LA tonight, performing at The Mint in Hollywood at 7pm. Please hit me up if you would like free tickets! They're $8 otherwise. Can't wait to jam! Gotta put the negative in the past for the sake of a good show... but still hopeful that they will be returned.
xoxo-Anuhea
