I'm thrilled to be playing again with Pepper. Some reflection... from back in the day like high school style I've been a fan of these guys. Punk reggae ska influenced with clever lyrics and high energy.. not to mention they are all hottie bo boddies-- very easy to become a fan. They've hit it huge touring all over the mainland and Japan.. sponsored by Volcom and Jagermeister, two of my favorite things. :) But at the same time as being crazy out of control rock stars, they are extreeemely saavy business men and take their jobs very seriously. Reaching out to other bands along the way, they've started Law Records and are scooping up and coming bands and taking them to jam with them.
We are playing at Pipeline Cafe tomorrow night with Pepper. This should be a ridiculous show.
But not before 2 other gigs in the day.. Ala Moana Center Stage for the 50th anniversary, and then a Barnes and Noble performance as well. I will have flown over from Maui that morning as well. This is all practice for the busy-ness that will later develop. Just practice.
I had a photo shoot with the talented J.T. Gray of NorthShoreSurfPhotos.com right in Hawaii Kai. While cars zoomed past the beach park right next to the road, we managed to capture some cool shots.
