The week is NOT over... still big tings gwaan with iTunes!!
So last Tuesday my song "Right Love Wrong Time" began being featured as the Discovery Download of the week for iTunes... FREE download of the song, and my entire album on sale for just $5.99 on iTunes.. Pretty cool. The weekend has hit, but we're still hustling to get people to take advantage of this awesome platform iTunes has created for me. I'll still be featured for 2 more days.
So...What's so cool about this?
iTunes is the PRIMARY seller of online music, and in this day and age, and I'm the first artist from Hawaii to ever be featured on iTunes like this. I'm honored and stoked for the opportunity to represent.
4 million people are email blasted the Discovery Download email from iTunes with my song featured... usually only 5% on average actually download the song... so far, I'm up to 500,000 downloads! So far so good.
My album has since shot up on the charts, and is currently holding strong at #14 on the iTunes's competitive Pop charts. Right above Dave Matthews Band! (It peaked at #8 right before the American Idols took over 3 spots...LOL)
What are our goals?
Our goal is get to 1 million free downloads of "Right Love Wrong Time" on iTunes... Why? Simply to spread the word and some good tunes! 1 million is a hefty goal for a small label like ours, but I'm hoping to rely on the kokua from fellow Hawaiians!
